This is my first attempt ever ever ever at whittling anything at all. Well except for little spears, that ’some people’ with a lack of imagination might have called ‘pointy sticks’.
Why whittling, because at X-mas the mrs bought me “the world’s smallest whittling kit” from Hawkin’s Bazaar. It included the world’s smallest, bluntest, most pointless and ludicrously useful whittling knife ever … fortunately, after much whinging, the mrs bought me a replacement!
But look look look what I made:
I’m really pleased with it, a few mistakes, and one or two severed digits … but otherwise a success. All in it’s about 4 inches long, is made out of a piece of kindling, and was finished with an ‘indian rosewood’ stain and a hard gloss varnish.
