Wendy Alexander at her best!

Dear. Silly. Wendy.
Watch it.  Then watch it again tapping the pause button at choice moments … even if your not interested in politics it’s worth it for the looks!

Wendy Alexander’s tenure as ‘Leader of the New Labour Party Group at Holyrood’ (to give her her full title) hasn’t exactly been without incident.  To see just how incident ridden her time at the ‘helm’ has been have a gander at Scottish Politics.  I laughed, I cried, I shook my head, and I look forward to the day when we can have a decent opposition party.

Amazing. Truly amazing. She looks like a very complex woman (nudge nudge wink wink). My best colleague is moving to Scotland in February, I think I’ll send this along to her….

btw, tag

She does not take a good photo, does she? I don’t think I have seen a good photo of her anywhere.

Bright lady, but not leadership material. If she learnt to be a little more self-depricating at times (like Nicola Sturgeon has done) she would get on a bit better.

I have had a shot at ‘being on TV’, and it is the most unnatural thing ever, and actually rather hard to appear normal.

Leendaluu - she is terrific! Fortunately I think, maybe, most our politicians are somewhat superior to her … perhaps. Actually no, she’s just the worst of a bad bunch …

Bluedog - “She does not take a good photo …” I fear this is one of the biggest under statements I’ve seen in a long time! ;)

Can you imagine, actually don’t try, a photocall featuring Wendy and Cherie! Oh god. I’ve got an image in my head …

I think her much vaunted intellect may have been vastly overstated … did you see/hear her making a clown of herself again today at First Ministers questions? It seems that she needs to get to grips with her research.

If you watch the manner in which Salmond deals with her it’s like he’s furious with her! I can see why as well, she’s a lowsy representative for the Scottish parliament, she’s lowsy opposition, she’s a lowsy leader (as you say) of the opposition, and she’s a truely dreadful orator … it’s hard to believe that there are portions of the electorate that vote for these muppets!

She even looks like a bloody muppet!

I found her quite scary.

Oh, dear. I wasn’t making fun of you…I thought your lyrics were positively Dylanesque. You just need to strum a guitar while you recite.

I will send you Christmas cookies, if you send me a slice of Christmas cake. I will, that is, if I can waddle my post holiday bottom out of the house and down to the post office.

Hi Jo - she is scary … it is scary

Leendaluu - I know, I was teasing ;)

Cookies sound good though, you’ve got a deal - best make them virtual though … you just can’t dip crumbs!!

Muppets - put it this way, if Spitting Image came back, Wendy Alexander would be about the easiest person on the planet to cariacature. Cherie Blair too.

Salmond and Sturgeon would have been easy a year ago, but they have learnt that charm gets you a long way, and is actually rather difficult to obstruct without seeming mean minded.

Hi Bluedog, Spitting Image would have a field day … maybe they could do a Labour special given the number of potential ‘characters’ they now have.
