Sorry that was all slightly tasteless wasn’t it!  But just to lighten things up a bit …

… there was no malice intended towards the wee blighter, but given that it’s chewed one of the dog’s blanket to pieces, nested in one of the lad’s old shoes, pee’d and poo’d all over the cupboard under the sink, the bathroom sink, scared the mrs whilst she was indisposed on the lav and, most importantly, eaten ma tatties oot the garden.

Well.

He had it coming!

well, where there is one moose, there is usually twoose (or threese or fourse).

I’ll see your mouse and raise you a rat…it’s fall on the farm and those critters are getting into my grain….

yeah I’d heard that … hence the investment in more traps :D

You may however keep your rats, I hear they make charming pets … assuming of course you don’t have a grain store to be concerned about …

… and too think we half-seriously considered a life as a pair of crofters!! [thinks of big huge rats and shudders]

Crofter–I had to look that up but it’s a perfect description for what we have so I think I’ll refer to myself as that from now on…Leendaluu the Crazy Crofter…

We even have laws that are supposed to protect our crofting communities … although it all seems to be a bit of a pig’s ear as far as I can tell.
