a wee announcement

I just thought I’d formally announce that my new and other blog is now open to public scrutiny …

… try not to get to excited, it’s book reviews, and they’re children’s books, and it’s all a pathetic ploy to attempt to generate some extra income … I’m not happy about selling on this, my proper blog.  I’ll probably create another one for the movies bit too ::shrugs in an entirely non-committal way::

Whilst the aim is to generate income, the reviews will be bone fide genuine.  If I don’t like it I say so.  If you still want to click to buy it … can’t say you weren’t warned ;)

Oops, forgot to say where

So how does that work…for every book sold, you get $198.73 American?

Do you need traffic or sales?

How can we help make you independently wealthy?

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

It’s sales driven, but I don’t want anyone to buy anything they don’t want …

… regrettabley this may be the shortest lived money making thing ever as someone has suggested that I’m in breach of wordpress t&c with my referral links …

… I’m off looking for alternative hosting, or maybe I’ll just remove the referrals and keep it as a book review blog … I haven’t decided.

“independently wealthy”

if only …

“regrettabley this may be the shortest lived money making thing ever as someone has suggested that I’m in breach of wordpress t&c with my referral links”

I think they’d have a hard time enforcing that rule since all you’re doing is providing a web link.

Nope…I’ve just read their terms of service and there’s nothing specifically that says you can’t add a referral link. I think the person is perhaps referring to the fact that you can’t create a site whose sole intention is to drive sales or traffic to another site but that’s not what you’re doing as you are providing a book review service so I think you can continue…

as you were
