POP! is the sound that shall reverberate around the blogoshpere should my ego swell anymore than it already has! Either that or the mrs will do me in and bury me under the patio …
… so it is with as much grace as my wearied bones can muster that I owe a debt of eternal gratitude to Jo beaufoix for awarding me not only a Rockin’ blogger award, but also a schmoozers award (presumably the doctor can prescribe something for the latter). My thanks, however, are not for the awards themselves but more for what was said in the awarding of them. Thanks Jo, you’re too kind ;) .
And now I believe I have the honour of making some awards myself. First up is the Rockin’ Blogger award which I humbly offer up to:
Anita Moscoso. for both of her blogs Anita’s Owl Creek Bridge and Irregular Bones both of which are a delight to read. Anita is a blogger and writer of short stories, an inordinate talent easily capable of making you laugh and shiver in a few short paragraphs. Genius.
Michael Greenwell. I don’t know if Michael ‘does‘ awards, but he can still accept some praise … God damn it! I have to say that Micahel seems wise beyond his years and certainly appears well travelled and informed. I was surpised to learn recently that he’s no older than I, being 12 in 1989! He has brought to my attention issues and perspectives that would otherwise have passed me by. A superb, well written, informative, eye opening, sometimes stomach churning (look up the nuclear post on depleted uranium), blog that shouldn’t be missed.
Charles Arcario. Over at Charlies House is Charlie’s perspective on life, love and family, he makes some good points and whilst I don’t always agree with him his writing style is compelling, I can’t help nodding my way through his all too irregular posts, it’s quality rather than quantity that counts though.
I don’t recall off-hand, but I think at least one of the above may already have a Rockin’ Blogger award, but hell, if they do, they deserve another

Now, moving on to the Schmoozer’s award, there are two that immediately spring to mind:
The first of these being Anita (again!), who for all her comments here, there and everywhere often seems difficult to escape from … not that we’d want to ;)
The other would have to be The Grit over at http://britandgrit.com/ after he was so nice to me the other day ;)

Wear your honours with pride fellow bloggers, you deserve them … oh! And dish them out as you see fit …

WOW!
Thank you Alasdair- and did you notice who was here first to comment ;-)?

Hi A,
Thanks! Really though, we’re only nice to people we like :) Now, if you will excuse me, I think I’ll go brag a bit.

Gosh these blogger award ceremonies are catching, everybody seems to be at it at the moment! But Charles Arcario’s acceptance speech is the best I’ve seen so far. Awards, Memes, whatever next?!

I agree Charles, what a speech. I especially like that you thanked reflective surfaces. We really don’t thank them enough do we.
